FAQ

Here are some answers to commonly asked questions

How did the fire effect the ranch?

The amphitheater at Peter Strauss Ranch is made of stone, so it really hasn’t changed and most of the trees survived. The ranch house did burn down but the bathrooms somehow did not. Good thing! IMPORTANT: As of May, the bridge on Mulholland that collapsed during the fire is under repair. We will be holding our first show of the season (Sunday, May 12th) at King Gillette Ranch.

How do I get VIP tickets?

VIP Season Tickets and Individual Show VIP Tickets can be purchased here.  VIP tickets include wine and cheese reception before the show, a complimentary wine glass and a seat in the VIP section of the theatre. These tickets are limited and can only be purchased in advanced here.

Can I still go if I don’t have a ticket?
If you want to attend the show and do not have a VIP ticket that is fine.  Bring either a blanket or
low-back chair and grab an open space in or around the theatre.  There will be donation boxes around the theatre. The show is free but your support is needed.  Suggested donation is $20.

Can I bring my dog?
We love animals as much as you do but this really isn’t the best place for a dog.  If you must bring your furry friend they need to be on a 6’ leash at all times and we suggest grabbing a space to the side or above the theatre.

How do I get there?
King Gillette Ranch
26800 Mulholland Hwy
Calabasas, CA 91302

From the 101 freeway: exit Las Virgenes Rd south. Take a left on Mulholland Hwy. KGR will be on your right.
From PCH: Head north on Malibu Canyon Rd. Turn right on Mulholland Hwy. KGR will be on your right.
Please Carpool!

Is it handicap accessible?
There is handicap parking available inside the main entrance.  You will need to check in with the Park Ranger. Once inside it's not much walking unless you want to explore the ranch.  The paths leading to the theatre are dirt and rock so please watch your step. Public restrooms are available on the property.

Is it kid friendly?
Yes, we are always amazed by the number of children and young adults that enjoy these shows. Please be courteous to the other concert goers.

What time should I get there?
If you do not have reserved VIP tickets we suggest getting to the show an hour before the first band starts.

What can I bring?
You can bring your own food/drinks and alcohol (beer and wine only).  There is no food or drink for sale at the ranch.

What should I bring?
We suggest bringing a chair and or blanket.  We also suggest bringing a sweater or sweatshirt….it sometimes gets a little chilly after the sun sets.
